IMPORTANT:

Use this spreadsheet as the most up-to-date resource for this challenge and roster information.

GENERAL RULES

  • You must be an IKSAR

  • You must be level 5 or lower to join

  • You must be in KUNARK zones at all times (this includes Timorous Deep)

  • Permadeath and the Life System are optional (see below)

  • Special travel exceptions where a quest that originates on Kunark and takes you outside of it are permitted. 

  • No acceptance of buffs or powerleveling from a character that is too far out of normal level range.

  • No /role or /anon. Be proud of the glorious tag of Ik!

  • No transferring money or gear to your character

GUILD ONLY ECONOMY AND LOOTING

  • No buying from or selling to non-guildies.

  • All worn gear must be gear looted from a corpse that you helped create or from a quest that you completed. If you did not kill the mob, the loot is not yours. If you were not present for the kill in a group, the loot is not yours.

  • You are allowed to purchase non-equipment and trade-skilled gear/items from guild members at "market value" (e.g. banded, potions, research pages)​. Depending on the product, "market value" could be either be cost of materials or the indifferent merchant value.

  • Gear bought from merchant may be worn if it is in a merchant's natural stock. You can confirm their natural stock by there being infinite quantity of an item or on the P99 Wiki.

PERMADEATH (OPTIONAL)

  • Permadeath is now a status/achievement and no longer a requirement to be in <Legacy of Ik> 

  • This playstyle is largely based on the honor system and is intended to serve as a layer of challenge, risk, and skill. 
  • To avoid any grey area, deaths caused by factors out of your control such as trains or hardware failures still count as deaths. (RULE UNDER REVIEW)

  • While permadeath is optional, all other aspects of the challenge must be strongly adhered to at all times while tagged.

  • Members who are striving for permadeath can identify this status by:

    • Identifying your status on the spreadsheet​

    • Setting your surname at level 20 to one of the following (COMPLETELY OPTIONAL):

      • Generation of character:​

        • 1st: Imix

        • 2nd: Ikk

        • 3rd:  Akbal or III

        • 4th:  Kan

        • 5th:  Kaban

        • 6th:  Kimi

        • 7th:  Manik or VII

        • 8th:  Lamat or VIII

        • 9th:  Muluk or VIIII

        • 10th: Ahau

      • Upon death, you would petition to have your surname removed or changed to something else.

LIFE SYSTEM (OPTIONAL)

  • Starting with ZERO, you gain ONE extra "life" every 10 levels.

    • After 50, you gain 1 life every level. 

  • You can only have a maximum amount of 3 lives in reserve.

  • When you lose your last life, remove your optional surname OR reroll completely.

    • Members striving for perma-death can identify this status by using one of the suggested (optional) surnames above.

  • To the best of your ability, avoid groups that are actively being powerleveled or overly buffed outside of group.

​IKBOT

01/05/23 - IKBOT Discord Milestone Bot

  • For advanced tracking throughout the challenge, members can now use a simple program to automatically parse their logs and extract important information which will be announced by The Emperor himself in the Legacy of Ik Milestones channel on Discord!

  • ​Current log events being tracked:

    • Guild roster​/new members

    • Level milestones

    • Relevant loot drops

    • Named mob kills

    • Tradeskill milestones

    • Deaths

    • Quest rewards (in development)

    • Nearby deaths (in development)

​

  • Running this program is completely optional. It aims to only automate the announcing of select Ik milestones on Discord.​ If you are doing permadeath mode, it's highly encouraged to use. :)

​

SPECIAL EVENTS

Q1 2022 - "CALL TO ARMS: CAZIC'S BLESSING"

"Cazic Thule's reluctant grace has provided a special blessing to the fallen army of Ik to fight once again alongside their living allies. Reclaim the empire that is rightfully yours!"

  • Returning players who are in the sister-guild, <Thralls of Ik>, can now get re-invited into <Legacy of Ik>​

  • <Thralls of Ik> will no longer function as a separate guild. Everything will be consolidated into one guild.
